I was born and raised in North Carolina. For college, I attended UNC Chapel Hill and studied Statistics. Upon graduation in 2011, I moved to Seattle, WA and worked as an Actuary for many years.

In 2019, I moved to San Francisco to help take care of my nieces (twin baby girls!). Being on the floor so much with them, I noticed my back was uncomfortable sitting without leaning against a wall. I started doing yoga which helped tremendously, and then ventured to try a session of Rolfing (unsure at the time whether or not Rolfing was “real" ). The next day at Yoga, I could suddenly do all the one-legged balances I never could before. That left a huge impression on me questioning what was possible. How could only one one-hour session do that?

That experience stayed with me and a year later after much reflection, research (and more Rolfing), I decided I wanted to become a Rolfer. I opted to study massage therapy first so I could begin learning anatomy and touch without the challenge of simultaneously learning Rolfing. For massage school, I attended the Center for Massage & Natural Health in Asheville, NC.

I worked as a massage therapist at Sauna House in Asheville for a year, and then attended the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute in Boulder, CO to study Rolfing. I became a Certified Rolfer in September, 2022.

My life and former job were on the extreme end of analytical/logical thinking, and my new life and job are on the extreme end of feeling/intuiting. It has been a wild ride making that transition but I appreciate both sides.

I always appreciate coming to find more of myself and this world and being a Rolfer allows for both.

Testimonials from Clients

"I recently completed a 10-session Rolfing series with Lewis and had a very positive experience. I sought Rolfing to help me integrate a recent surgery as well as generally "tune-up" my body. Lewis was deeply knowledgeable, compassionate, and respectful and really helped me get some powerful results. My movement feels very free and my body definitely feels like it is functioning more efficiently and comfortably. I very much recommend Lewis and would love the opportunity to work with him again." - Deb M (Lafayette, Colorado)

“Lewis is not just a Rolfer; he is also a true healer. He has the gift of compassion that makes all the difference in healing. His touch is gentle. He holds space gracefully and is patient with pain when it emerges. A beautiful soul!” - Aura R (Boulder, Colorado)

“I did the 10 sessions with Lewis in August 2022. I found Lewis to be very professional and appreciated his super strong hands. He looks closely at your anatomy and body structure and works hard to bring everything into balance. I definitely recommend working with Lewis.” - Devon S (Boulder, Colorado)
